Yogabody® Trapeze Review
This beautiful trapeze by YogaBody® is so well made and incredibly easy to set up.
You can hang it pretty much anywhere, from an exposed beam to a doorway.
YogaBody® suggests that you can also hang this swing from a tree, if you feel it necessary. I love nature just as much as the next yogi, but that’s a bit much for me. My neighbors are way too nosy for tree yoga.
Another great aspect to this swing is that the complete setup guide is available on YouTube. This makes it so you don’t have to refer to the manual just for setup, especially if you take it down and put it back up frequently.
You won’t ever have to go find the guide to re-hang it, just in case you need a refresher. You can just pull up the video on your phone! I can’t tell you how many times that has saved me!
For those of you who don’t know, YogaBody® is more than just a brand. They own a string of yoga studios scattered throughout California. This is the swing you will use in YogaBody® Aerial Yoga class.
The quality is stellar, and the no slip rubber handles are perfect for inversions and twists. No matter how sweaty you get, and trust me when I say when you first start Aerial Yoga you will sweat like crazy, your hands won’t slip off the handles. That alone makes this a super safe swing.
The YogaBody® swing is soft and comfortable. The straps are thick and soft, and you’ll be able to find your comfort zone no matter what pose you’re doing.
YogaBody® offers a 10 year parts guarantee for anything mechanical that goes wrong on this swing. It’s definitely worth giving this perfect Yoga Trapeze® a chance.

Orbsoul Aerial Silks and Yoga Hammock Review
This Orbsoul Yoga Hammock is definitely on the simpler side mechanically and design wise, but it’s a fantastic swing nonetheless. It’s basic, without any fancy extension straps yet manages to be perfect for all levels of yoga.
You can hang this swing in mere minutes from a door frame or exposed beam, and it’s easy to take up and bring down. The swing itself comes with a 3 step instructional guide as well as a video that will help you get started safely right away.
Orbsoul promises slip resistant, pro-grade handles as well as the same carabiners one would use for rock climbing to ensure sturdy installation. The carabiners used to install the swing can hold up to 5500 pounds!
This gem of a swing boasts fade resistant color and plush silk nylon!
If you’re concerned about returning this swing, you have 30 days to to refund or replace it.
This swing is used by a few of the instructors at the studio that I attend regularly. It but it’s an excellent swing at a decent price.

UpCircleSeven Aerial Yoga Swing Review
Made from parachute material, the UpCircleSeven yoga swing is soft, shimmery and perfect for a professional setting.
UpCircleSeven manufactures a variety of professional quality yoga props and equipment. Their Aerial Yoga Swing is no exception.
This swing is super comfortable, and it’s very easy to find a pose in this swing, even for beginners. The straps, seat and rubber handles are all thick and easy to hang on to.
The handles are sweat resistant, so you won’t fall on your face. I find that a very small risk of falling while using is a great perk for any product
The colors that UpCircleSeven offer with this swing are perfection. You can choose from five bright colors and black as well, just in case you’re feeling practical upon purchasing.
Personally, I love the purple and the teal. Beautiful!
Like all yoga swings and trapezes, this swing comes with amazing health benefits. Inversion therapy is highly recommended for keeping your spine strong and healthy. It also aids in relief from those with chronic back pain.
UpCircleSeven gives a 100% satisfaction promise, but does not ever really state what that might entail. There is no explanation of what you get back if you’re not satisfied with this swing.
Do you get your money back? A partial refund? A different swing? New puppy? No one knows.
Also, this swing comes without mounting hardware, so if you plan on hanging it (which you kind of have to) you’ll have to purchase your own.

Yoga4You Swing Set Review
This swing by Yoga4You is available in a couple of lovely color choices and you’ll get a few little extras included in a very reasonably priced kit!
A study swing with thick and comfortable straps and handles, the Yoga4U swing comes complete with extension straps. With the help of said extension straps, upon installation this swing can be elevated to 10 feet off the ground.
It’s completely up to you whether or not you think that is fun or terrifying. My vote is terrifying, but to each their own
This swing can accommodate up to 600 pounds, and the fabric in the middle is double layered for ultimate comfort.
A huge perk to the Yoga4You swing is that it comes with a PDF file e-book that provides basic ceiling mount instructions, and will help you with set up and the decision of where you might want to keep it.
Most yoga swing and trapeze manufacturers understand that your swing probably won’t stay in the same spot. It’s an odd piece of decor to have, and those of us with kids and lives outside of yoga cannot leave a swing hanging around.
This swing, along with the others featured in this guide, is easy to move and reinstall when you have to. The instructions are readily available.

Yogatrail Aerial Yoga Swing Review
The Yogatail swing is a fantastic option if you want something portable. Pop it into it’s handy storage bag, and away you go!
Yogatail promises extra strength safety upon properly installing this swing. The carabiners that come with the swing for attachment are large and thick. They are super, super durable to ensure safe installation and use.
The instructions to install the Yogatail swing are clear and included in the package. Yogatail will email you an ebook that is tailored to all levels of practice to ensure that you use the swing properly and safely.
You’ll learn basic moves that you can eventually blossom into advanced moves as you progress. The plus side is, you can use the same book.
I’ve mentioned before that it’s incredibly unlikely that any of you will hang a yoga swing and leave it there. We put them up and take them down constantly, so a huge plus for this swing is that it comes with its own space saving storage bag.
This bag will store easily in your closet or in the corner of an in-home yoga studio. It’s waterproof and durable, so you can ensure that your Yogatail swing is safe inside.
It’s easy to pick up and bring with you as well, should you find that you’d like to take your swing on vacation or even to class. Just check with instructors to make sure that’s okay!
You can rest easy with the purchase of this swing. Not only is complete satisfaction guaranteed by Yogatail when purchasing this swing, but they offer a 5 year upgrade plan. Every 5 years, you can get your hands on a new swing!
I encourage you to talk to their incredibly helpful customer service reps more about that offer. It’s a deal you probably won’t pass up.
Is Aerial Yoga Beginner Friendly?!
The health benefits of Aerial Yoga are actually pretty astounding. You are likely to see Aerial Yoga props at a larger, established studio specifically tailored to practicing yoga. It’s rare for a gym or community center to use a trapeze or swing.
If you decide that you’re dying to know what Aerial Yoga is all about, be sure to seek the help of a professional before you buy one and hang it up at home. We don’t want you to jump in head first, and end up with entangled limbs and a very embarrassing or potentially dangerous situation.
An instructor trained in Aerial Yoga will help you get used to using a swing in a controlled setting, show you which poses will benefit you and also how to be safe while using it at home.
When you’ve obtained enough skills to not die, you can go off on your own and twist and fly through the air all you want in the comfort of your own home.
At Hobby Help, we strive to give you all the information you need before you pick up one of our suggested hobbies. While Aerial Yoga might seem like it’s not suited for beginners, it totally can be.
Treat it just as if you were starting out in a regular old yoga class that takes place on the ground. Go to your first Aerial class or training session dressed appropriately, with a water bottle in hand.
You’ll be taught movements and poses from the ground up, and you’ll be ready to take on your practice alone before you know it. You may even decide to keep training with your instructor or in a class setting.
Aerial Yoga for Back Pain
Those who suffer from chronic and occasionally debilitating back pain can find relief in minutes with inversions. Inversion, in yoga, basically means that your heart is higher than your head.
You do not have to be completely upside down all the time, and your included guide manuals will point you in the right direction pose wise.
Inversions essentially use gravity to lessen back pain and to give your vertebrae a little space from one another. Hanging upside down won’t cure your back completely, and you should always consult with a doctor before doing so, but it can certainly provide great comfort.
If you’re looking purchasing a swing from simply a yoga perspective, then let me tell you that you’ll find strength and flexibility from practicing in a swing that you’ve never found on your mat. Swings are amazing, and if you aren’t ready to buy one, I highly recommend taking a class sooner rather than later.
Things to Consider When Buying a Swing or Trapeze
Durability
Every trapeze on our list is durable, but always follow the directions and check your new swing over for rips, tears, snags or flaws in the stitching. If you find something, call the company you purchased from right away.
You are going to be hanging from the air in this thing. I don’t care if you’re 8 feet off the ground of 5 inches, not crashing down is our top priority. If you’re unsure, don’t hang it. Safety comes first!
Design
Be sure to choose the design that you want. If you don’t need extension straps with loops then basic is your best bet. If you want all the bells and whistles then choose a swing that has them.
A yoga swing is an investment. My guess is once you try it out, you’ll probably use it at least 4 times a week, if not every day. Even if it’s just for a quick stretch, it will leave you feeling loose and limber. You’ll want to chase that feeling, trust me.
No judgement here. It’s a healthy addiction!
Weight Limit
Always check weight restrictions before buying, because you just never know. Most manufacturers list the absolute max weight that the swing will hold without ripping or pulling out of its installation hold.
You’re going to want to be substantially under that max weight limit to prevent putting unnecessary stress on the seams or hardware.
My top pick is, and probably always will be, the YogaBody® Trapeze. One of my favorite brands for yoga props and equipment by far, YogaBody® is reliable and has stellar customer service and a well respected brand reputation.
I have used this swing at home for a long time now. The color hasn’t faded, the seams haven’t popped or ripped and it’s easy to put up and take down without help.
It’s so comfortable, and I can hold inversion poses in it for twice as long as I am able to on a mat. I use this swing about 4 times a week after my regular practice or class, just to take pressure off my joints and hang around.
Pun intended.
To clean it, which isn’t frequently necessary, I just toss it in the washing machine and then let it air dry. I love this swing, and I know you will too.
Final Thoughts
While a Aerial Yoga may not seem like a life necessity, I can promise you that it’s definitely a life luxury. An inexpensive luxury at that!
All you need to kick start your Aerial Yoga practice is a swing (do yourself a favor and choose one off our list) and your body. Once you get going, you’ll fall in love with it.
If this guide has motivated you to get out there and start swing shopping, well then that’s great! Just remember, you’re looking for durability, a design you like and paying close attention to any and all weight restrictions.
Be sure to follow those installation guides closely, whether they be printed on an index card and included or come in the form of a PDF file. No injuries, please. Safety always comes first.
Any swing on this list will get you started on the right foot. While Aerial Yoga might seem out of beginner’s reach, it’s definitely not! Anyone can do it.
