Clever Yoga Strap Review
The Clever Yoga Strap is durable, eco-friendly, super soft and easy to use; and it’s the best yoga strap for the money!
Complete with adjustable D ring loops on the end, it comes in either 8 to 10 feet, depending on how tall or flexible you are. It’s easy to grip this strap without any loops, because the cotton is incredibly slide resistant.
This is the best yoga strap get into those desired poses, even if you’re right in the middle of a Hot Yoga class! You needn’t fear sweat.
Honestly, I prefer this strap for a class setting and the Stretch Out Strap for home sessions and stretching. The latter can be more difficult to maneuver from pose to pose since you’re slipping in and out of loops.
A wide variety of color choices along with a simple, straightforward design makes this the best yoga strap for people practicing yoga of all levels.

OPTP Stretch Out Strap Review
This OPTP Stretch Out Strap is the best yoga strap according to physical therapists and athletic trainers. Each strap is made in the USA and is perfect for warm up, exercise and post-exercise.
It features a 6’4″ woven nylon strap with 10 individual loops that is proven to be durable and long-lasting; and will not easily wear or tear even with heavy use, unlike cheaper yoga straps!
I love this yoga strap because it’s the original and the best yoga strap since 1993. It’s the best yoga strap as recommended by professionals and trainers for safe and effective yoga practice!

Reehut Yoga Strap Review
I’d recommend the Reehub Yoga Strap for anyone who simply wants a durable yoga strap for a good price.
As you’d expect it comes in several sizes (6-10ft) and colors to suit your frame and preference.
The only difference I’d note from say the Clever Yoga – Yoga Strap where perhaps it falls short is that it’s not quite as slip resistant.
For home or a class this won’t be an issue, but just beware if you’re taking it to hot yoga; your sweaty palms may cause an issue!
Like most adjustable straps, this one has the D ring loop at the ends, making for easy adjustment. The strap is lightweight and rolls up easily; perfect for packing and tossing into your yoga bag.
What to Look For in a Yoga Strap
Strap Material
Make sure that your yoga strap isn’t going to fall apart under pressure and constant use. You want a fabric that weaves tightly together, like cotton, nylon or hemp.
There aren’t any hemp straps on this list, but if you come into contact with one that you’re thinking of buying, chances are it’s a good one. Hemp is tough.
Slide resistant is a good aspect as well, but isn’t completely necessary as long as you have a good fabric. High quality, eco-friendly cotton will often absorb sweat quite well.
Strap Length
If it’s not long enough for you to use, don’t bother. If it doesn’t adjust to a short enough length for you to use, then it’s pointless.
Make sure you are getting the right length for you. A good way to do this is just to go with a strap like Reehut, because you’ve got a really great length spectrum available there.
Strap Design
Do you want a D ring strap that you adjust only at the ends by looping through the ring?
Are you more in the market for something that has individual loops stitched along the side so you can choose exactly where to place your limbs just by eyeballing it?
It’s up to you! Whatever your preference is will always work for you. In my opinion, you should buy both, but it’s been suggested in the past that I have a slight shopping addiction.
I digress. Straps aren’t pricey and if you have both you can bounce back and forth from D rings to loops! Just a thought.
Benefits of Using a Yoga Strap
The best yoga strap will allow you to access deeper stretches without assistance. A preferred and recommended method of stretching by physical therapists and sports trainers, yoga straps can be beneficial to everyone, not just a yoga enthusiast.
Adding the best yoga strap to your daily practice will help you to find poses correctly, lengthen and deepen your stretch and enhance your flexibility. A yoga strap will help you to improve your range of motion as well as to condition your muscles to prevent future injuries.
But wait a minute! What exactly is a yoga strap?
Typically made from cotton, nylon or hemp, the best yoga straps range anywhere from 3 to 10 feet long. They are adorned with loops stitched along the  main strap to place your feet and hands at the length that you need to perform the stretch, or D ring loops to adjust the length properly.
The design is simple, but the benefits are incredible.
A great thing about yoga is that your body is the only equipment you really need to have a successful practice. However, it’s really important not to overlook props.
Yoga props are rarely a gimmick, and can contribute greatly to your practice by helping you to excel at it, or at the very least help you to feel more comfortable throughout. They’re also wonderful for a good stretch after a run or a session on the stairmaster.
Whether you are a hardcore yogi or just looking for a light stretch after the gym, there’s a strap out there that is perfect for you!
Final Thoughts
While props are not vital to taking on a yoga practice, they can make a huge difference in how successful you are.
The best yoga straps are a huge aid in helping you to bend your body into poses that are unfamiliar.
Straps are great for any yogi, but will benefit beginners especially. Any frustration you have with certain poses will subside as you effectively use a strap to help you.
Look for the best yoga strap that is versatile, durable and one that is the right length for you, and you’ll be right on track!
