Holy Stone HS150 Bolt Bee Mini Racing Drone Review
If you’re not using your drone to capture photos or video, then chances are you’re interested in the challenge of operating these machines, the thrill of racing at high speeds or mastering tricks. The Bolt Bee offers these capabilities in spades.
Reaching speeds of 30+mph, the Bolt Bee is steady, stable, and fast. Although it comes in a mini size, it stands up quite well to wind. Each battery supports 5 to 7 minutes in flight (2 are included—as a general reminder, it’s recommended to keep an eye on all lithium batteries during charging).
Finally, this drone is really fun! I like to put mine through its paces, doing continuous rolls and flips in all directions. That makes the Bolt Bee, in my opinion, the best drone without a camera.

DoDoeleph Syma X20 Mini Pocket Drone Review
If you’re in search of the perfect birthday gift for the child in your life, the Syma X20 is an amazing choice. Recommended for kids 8+, the Syma X20 is extremely compact (4.13 x 4.13 x 0.98 inches) and is simple and straightforward to use. With a control distance of 66ft and flight time of 5 minutes, this drone stays close, which is just fine for beginners.
This drone has Altitude Hold function, which lets it hover at a stable altitude and makes flying it easier. As you or your kid get the hang of it, you’ll learn to do fun tricks like 360o rolls.

Holy Stone HS170 Predator Mini Drone Review
The Holy Stone HS170 is a great little drone with colorful LED lights that reaches an impressive level of performance for a competitive price. Given its small size, this drone struggles to handle wind, so save it for calmer days.
It has useful features such as Headless Mode, which orients the drone to your direction and makes it easier to control. Flight time per battery is 6 to 8 minutes. You can do 3D flips and choose among 3 speed modes: Crank up the speed as you improve your skills.

DoDoeleph Syma X5A-1 Gyro Drone Review
My final recommendation: this Syma X5A-1 quadcopter with one-key start and landing, 2 speed modes, LED lights, Headless Mode, and a flight time of 6 to 8 minutes per battery (2 are included). This model is a little bigger than some others on this list, though it’s still quite small and compact, great for packing in your suitcase.
I’ve tried out this drone a few times and have been happy with its stability and responsiveness. Putting it through flips and rolls is a lot of fun!
