prAna Men's Vaha Yoga Pants Review

The prAna Men’s Vaha Yoga Pants are super comfortable. They are a fabric blend of recycled hemp and polyester, and they feel like they’re not only great for a yoga class but also hanging out around the house.

prAna is a fair-trade certified company, which is actually pretty cool and makes them very worth the investment. The inseam at 32” was a little long on my husband, even though that’s his typical inseam.

I would say that this inseam would do just fine for taller men as well. My first impression was right, they are amazingly comfy. I tried them on just to be sure.

Then I continued to wear them, and now I wear them more than he does.

Anyway, the waistband on this pant is substantial. It’s not too tight or too wide, but it stays in place without any slippage during a normal workout. To really put them to the test, I did a couple yoga runs with them on and they stayed right where they were supposed to.

Hemp wicks moisture like a champ, as does polyester, so you don’t have to be afraid of working up a sweat in these pants. You’ll stay dry and you’ve got that odor reducing feature that hemp naturally provides.

These pants will move with you through any workout, and don’t mind being used to lounge around in.

They come equipped with pockets in the front and back to store your phone, keys, cash, headphones…whatever! The stitching around the pockets is a little thin for my liking, so treat them gently.

These pants are best when they’re machine washed cold, on gentle and hung to dry. Multiple inseams are available and they generally fit true to size. If you’re unsure or between sizes, I would say size up!

Yoga Crow Men's Swerve Shorts Review

If you’re a guy and you do yoga on the regular, then the Yoga Crow Men’s Swerve Shorts are for you. If you’re a guy and you just like to be comfortable, then these shorts are also for you.

They are soft and incredibly durable. Best of all, they don’t bunch up. They can withstand a short yoga routine choreographed by me and executed by my husband for test purposes.

They can also take on a 4 mile jog without riding up. That is a really amazing component to these shorts seeing as they don’t have an uncomfortably tight fit. As far as yoga shorts go, these have a loose fit, making the lack of bunching seem like quite a feat.

The inside of these sturdy nylon/poly blend shorts contains a moisture wicking boxer brief liner. I found this particularly necessary, because no man anywhere wants to put themselves into yoga poses while worrying about where their business is located.

Simply put, you can spend the time focusing on your workout or practice instead of…other things. The inside liner also fits loosely and is not restrictive at all. So, two thumbs up there. Right guys?

As far as the fit goes on these shorts, they do run a bit on the tighter side size wise. Now, this is because they are meant for yoga. That’s why they were made.

If you intend to work out regularly in them, without doing much yoga, I believe you’d probably want to size up to keep it comfortable.

The four way stretch in these shorts makes them an incredibly versatile piece to add to your workout or lounge collection.

They are easy to care for, just machine wash and hang dry.

My guess is once you try them, you’ll want a pair in every color.

4-rth Men's Eco Track Pant Review

The 4-rth Men’s Eco Track Pant are the perfect men’s pant in which to perform any activity…yoga included. Okay, so they aren’t perfect for yoga specifically, but these pants are so comfortable!

The inseam on these is pretty generous, making for a loose fit without being ridiculous. The pant itself is actually of straight leg origin, and is completely suitable to wear to the gym and then out running errands.

They are made of soft french terry, derived from birch trees. This makes for sustainable pants. If it makes you feel better, buying more than one pair of these pants will make you (technically) environmentally friendly!

There is a ribbed piping on these that run down the side, making for a bit more movement in the fabric than you would get with the just flat french terry. They’re breathable, but they won’t wick a ton of moisture.

I’d say light yoga practices and runs that consist of just a few miles would be just right for these! They are great to lounge around in, even though some might find them a tad on the pricey side just for lounging.

However, you can’t put a price on sustainability. That’s a fact.

These fit true to size, and if you do decide to choose these for your yoga practice I think you’ll find that they do the trick. I don’t recommend getting too sweaty in them, as they don’t wick well.

There aren’t many to begin with, but once you pull these on and up you’ll find that their insane level of comfort outweighs any flaw!

Proyog Men's Ogranic Yoga Dhoti Pants Review

If you’re an advanced yogi taking a look at this list, then you’re probably familiar with the Dhoti pant. If not, let me give you a brief background.

Dhotis are simply a traditional garment worn in India. Since this is where yoga originated, you’ve probably seen this type of pant depicted on some type of Indian cultural reference somewhere.

Dhoti pants are super comfortable, and even if you’re not serious about your practice or you’re just starting out…these are actually a great pair of pants to pick up.

Made with organic cotton and modal, these are one of the most breathable pairs of men’s yogas you can purchase. The pockets are great, and the material is soft and super comfortable.

Like why are these so comfortable?!

Care is a breeze, just wash and dry as normal.

The seams are flatlock which means zero chafing, and the shin length capri looks fantastic with fitted tees or tanks. Toss a pair of sandals on and you’re ready for class.

Man bun optional.

Manduka Men's Atman Compression Tight Leggings Review

Yes, leggings. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!

If you’re a man, and you do yoga regularly, chances are you’ve come across man leggings. Perhaps you even own a few pairs. Good for you, you should.

Leggings are an amazing addition to any yoga practice, because they allow you to move like you’re wearing a second skin, while you and your instructor can accurately assess your form.

Comfortable and contoured with flatlock seaming and a pocket sewn in the band to hold your phone or cash, these leggings are so comfortable.

No matter what level your yoga practice has reached, the Atman Leggings give you the opportunity to practice distraction free.

These are simple, moisture wicking and durable. They won’t rip, allowing you to attack your poses head on.

These have a true to size fit, but you have to be okay with the way they’re meant to fit. Let me take a second to explain.

Manduka makes their leggings with a tight fit, so if you’re not used to it, chances are you’re going to feel like it’s all just a tad too tight in places you’d rather it wasn’t. Are you with me here?

If that is a concern for you, just size up and you’ll be fine.

Though meant for yoga, these leggings work wonderfully under shorts at the gym for running or lifting. They compress, keep moisture off of your legs and help to cool your body.

One pant, many uses!

Men’s Yoga Pant Buying Guide

While I may not be a man, I am certainly a professional at purchasing things for men. This makes me more than qualified to put together a buying guide based on criteria that anyone should want in a yoga pant! Not just men.

When you head out into the world (or the world wide web), you’re looking for a few things that any high quality men’s yoga pant will give you. Comfort, functionality and durability.

Women tend to worry about a few other things, like if our butts are lifted and the fit is flattering, but the world of men’s yoga pants is very to the point.

Comfort

You want comfort, obviously. Nobody wants to head into class in a pair of yoga pants that fit too tight and feel like sandpaper.

Take the time to decide how they feel on you. Will you use them long-term or would you only wear them once or twice? If there’s an aspect to them that makes them uncomfortable (tight waistband, weird fit), don’t buy them.

Yoga pants should be soft, and they shouldn’t restrict you in any way. Ideally, you’ll be able to move in them as if you weren’t wearing any pants at all.

Functionality

If the pant isn’t going to serve its purpose, don’t buy it. There are a lot of comfortable lounge pants out there for men, and not all of them are suitable for yoga.

Look for a pant that was made for what you want to do. Flexible, form fitting and moisture wicking. You’ll feel much better about the investment if your pant is performing like it’s supposed to.

Durability

Go for high quality! Look for pants, and manufacturers, that have a great reputation when it comes to putting out a great product. Don’t settle for less.

The top pick out of this bunch is definitely the prAna pant. They have a great size and color selection, and really there’s nothing that these pants can’t do.

They will work well for the avid yogi that practices for an hour every day. They will also work for someone who wanted to try yoga but gave it up and now just has a really comfortable pair of pants.

They’ve got it all, without any quirks or issues that can come along with wearing a Dhoti or a legging. They’re just your typical, comfortable lounge pant that happens to be a match made in heaven for yoga.

You’re better off having one nice, expensive pair of yoga pants than you are 10 pairs of cheap ones that will just fall apart. You want quality fiber content, and fabric blends. You can rest easy knowing all of the pants on this list fill that requirement.

If you already take part in yoga on the regular, or you’re just looking to invest in your practice, the perfect pant will help you get there. Comfort and confidence gives you a mental boost, and that positivity will take you farther in your practice than anything.

Each pair is perfect for any level of practice. It just depends on what you’re comfortable wearing.

Final Thoughts

If you’re just starting out on your yoga journey, things can be overwhelming. The poses, the use of Sanskrit and choosing a type of yoga are all on the to-do list.

You don’t have the time to spend hours pouring over the shelves at various retailers to find the perfect pant for you, and now you don’t have to.

Our list has at least one pant on it that you’ll find goes well with your yoga practice and your life. Chances are you’ll be able to get in a good yoga sessions and then lounge in them as well.

Remember, you’re looking for the perfect blend of comfort, function and durability.

Yoga is all about balance, and your gear should reflect that.
