DJI Mavic 2 Pro Waterproof Drone Review

Simply put, I love this drone. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is a superb all-around contender if you’re looking for a high-quality, high-performing drone, whether for fishing or aerial videography.

Each battery gives you around half an hour of flight time, which should be plenty to drop bait or run a scouting mission. With a maximum speed of over 40mph, you can get things done quickly and efficiently. Plus, there’s a high-quality camera—no complaints there! As an added bonus, the low-noise propellers minimize disruption to the natural environment.

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro comes with 8GB of internal storage, and also has the ability to take a 128GB SD card. The Fly More kit included with this bundle contains some key accessories for enjoying your fishing trip: extra Lithium Polymer batteries, a car charger, and a battery charging hub. Overall, this is a fantastic drone that makes a useful companion on any fishing trip.

Holy Stone HS7000D GPS Drone Review

With 22 minutes  of flight time per battery, the Holy Stone HS7000D is another drone that won’t conk out in the middle of a scouting run.

My main piece of advice for anyone in the market for a fishing drone is to choose one with good battery life. The 8 to 10 minutes provided by a basic entry-level drone might be fine for snapping quick photos, but my life got so much easier when I upgraded and began to enjoy longer flights. I don’t want to be constantly changing batteries while I’m out on the water.

In addition, the Holy Stone HS700D features a good camera with panoramic views and real-time video. The motor runs pretty quietly to avoid excessive noise pollution. It’s easy to use and is a solid choice for beginners.

Potensic T25 GPS Drone Review

Rounding out this list is the Potensic T25. It has a shorter flight time than the others (8 to 10 minutes), but this should be sufficient to do basic bait drops and quick scouting missions. Just bring along a couple spare batteries!

I like the Potensic because of its in-flight stability and ability to withstand wind. It makes an excellent starter drone that is also suitable for packing along (in its included aluminum carrying case) on fishing trips. This drone also has a pretty quick learning curve, so even if you’re new to drones, you’ll get the hang of it in no time.
